MA2 Recall Guide: How to Identify an Original or Upgraded MA2 Air Rifle

MA2 Recall Guide: How to Identify an Original or Upgraded MA2 Air Rifle

We've received many questions from MA2 owners asking whether their air rifle is included in the MA2 recall. This article provides a simple way to identify your rifle and determine whether any action is required.

Why Was the MA2 Updated?

In August 2025, we introduced an upgraded air system design for the MA2. The updated design separates the regulator chamber from the air cylinder, improving safety and reliability.

As a result, MA2 rifles manufactured before this update may be affected by the recall, while rifles produced after the update are not.

Quick Check: Which Version Do You Have?

The easiest way to identify your MA2 is by looking at the front section of the air cylinder.

  • Original MA2 Design (Potentially Affected): The original version uses a combined regulator chamber and air cylinder design.
  • Upgraded MA2 Design (Not Affected): The upgraded version uses a separate regulator chamber and air cylinder.

When Did You Purchase Your MA2?

As a general guideline:

  • Purchased from an authorized dealer after August 2025: Your rifle is likely the upgraded version and is not affected.
  • Purchased before August 2025: Please inspect your rifle using the comparison image above.

Please note that inventory turnover varies between dealers, so the purchase date alone cannot guarantee which version you have.
